Job Title: General Maintenance Worker (D)

Job Summary

EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a General Maintenance Worker in Charlottesville, VA (Rivanna Station) for a bid proposal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and building requiring practical skill and knowledge (hut not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
• Work may involve the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks; replacing broken window panes; replacing ceiling tiles; and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.

Qualifications:

• TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph or be able to obtain one recognized by DIA
• Candidate must have 3-6 years of experience in the maintenance of commercial or government facilities
• High school diploma or GED
• Must have driver license
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to work and communicate professionally in occupied space environments with a variety of customers.
