ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1) Review production list daily with Plant Manager to prioritize work schedule.

2) Inspect stock for imperfections or to estimate grades or qualities of stock or workpieces.

3) Determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to blueprints, oral or written instructions, drawings, or work instructions.

4) May set up, program, operate or tend computerized (Weeke, Onsrud) or manual woodworking machines such as saws, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders or planers.

5) Start machines, adjust controls and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery and/or CNC program are operating properly.

6) When operating sawing machines, adjust speed and tension and clear jams to ensure proper operation. Sharpen or replace defective or worn blades or bands as needed.

7) Calibrate stock and perform necessary operations to ensure material meets required specifications.

8) Perform 1st piece inspection prior to releasing for full production. Periodically perform inspections as needed throughout the production run. Stacks completed workpieces on pallets or in boxes so that they can be moved to next work station.

9) Inspect pulleys, drive belts, guards or fences on machines to ensure machines will operate safely. Perform general and preventive maintenance on machines.

10) Remove and replace worn parts, bits, belts or tooling.

11) Cleans dust collection systems.

12) Follows safety rules and safe work habits.

13) Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

Wage is dependent upon experience level. Due to growth, we currently have openings on 1st Shift (7:00AM-3:40PM) and 3rd Shift (10:30PM-7:00AM).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
