The Gateway Grizzlies Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, is currently in search of game day staff for the 2022 season. The positions available will give candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional sports and enjoy a lively, unique and exciting work environment. The Grizzlies' season runs from May through the beginning of September 2022 and extra events run from March until October. If you want to have an exciting summer and make some extra money while you are at it, this is the opportunity for you!

Game Day Cook Responsibilities:

• Creating and maintaining a clean, safe and fun ballpark for all fans
• Proper cooking in accordance with food safety protocol
• Minimize spoils at the end of games
• Make food consistently in a uniform manner
• Janitorial services such as taking out trash and sanitization
• Prepare and distribute food and beverage products for customers by following recipe guidelines, using proper preparation techniques, and sanitation guidelines
• Cleaning the concession stand and the ballpark
• Restocking concessions in a timely and efficient manner
• Providing friendly and timely customer service
• Follow supervisor's assignments for opening and closing procedures, as well as any other requests as necessary

Qualifications:

• Must be able to problem solve quickly, work efficiently in an intense environment
• Hard working and dedicated
• Some heavy lifting may be required
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
• Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Everyone working in professional baseball wears many different “hats,” so a willingness to go above and beyond one’s normal duties is expected.

Compensation:

• Compensation earned during Grizzlies' Games and extra events
• Base $20/hr
