Care for and instruct infants and children ages 6 weeks- 4 years old.
Duties
- Attend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers.
- Teach basic skills, such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, proper eating habits and social skills.
- Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs
- Enforce all administration policies.
- Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
Requirements
- Be able to lift up to 35 lbs, pick up children, get up and down from the floor and out of a chair with ease
- Set up classroom materials or equipment.
- Provide for basic needs of children.
- Teach life skills.
- Read to students.
- Plan educational activities utilizing curriculum provided
- Discuss problems or issues with supervisors.
- Discuss student progress with parents or guardians.
- Provide for basic needs of children.
- Modify teaching methods or materials to accommodate student needs.
- Attend training and staff meetings as directed to fulfill state and school requirements
