Job Summary

Morgantown, West Virginia

• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: M-F, 8:00 am - 5 pm, Guaranteed 40 hours/week.
• Hourly Rate: $26-28/hr
• Children: 6 and 4-year-old
• Pets: One adorable miniature poodle
• Paid Vacation: One week paid vacation nanny's choice, one week paid family's choice, three sick/personal days, and all holidays

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: Are you the last of your friends to binge whatever “it” show is dominating Netflix? Do you agree that screen time should be enjoyed in moderation? If you’d rather build a fort and do an army crawl in the living room instead of couch-scrolling your social media, then you’ve found your platoon! This energetic family of four (plus one senior miniature poodle named Oatie), is looking to welcome an experienced nanny into their home for the next 18 months. The growth-minded parents are both psychologists. Dad works from home in a separate designated space, so you'll have free rein of the main living area. You’re joining a family that loves spending quality time together. The two boys - ages six and four - are articulate, creative, and loving. They have solid routines with ample downtime for playing outside, baking, reading, and letting their big imaginations flow. Primarily, you’ll oversee transportation in your own vehicle, driving the youngest to and from pre-K, and accompanying the oldest from the bus stop. While the boys are at camp or school, you’ll help with their laundry, tidy around the house, vacuum and sweep, and occasionally let the dog out into the yard. The parents would enormously, gargantuanly, tremendously appreciate dinner prep. So if you’re an unofficial chef with a passion for cooking delicious, healthy meals you just beelined it to the top of the “We Want YOU!” list. (Vintage Uncle Sam poster not included.)

  The Ideal Nanny Would Be...MATURE! You’re nurturing, energetic, empathetic, and always picking up non-verbal clues from those around you. You have a clean driving record, are reliable, and your heart sings at the thought of loitering the day away at the library. You champion an active, healthy lifestyle, and find joy in cooking nutritious meals (yes, there are dietary restrictions including: gluten, cashews, pistachios, and lemon). But most importantly, as a seasoned nanny, you seek to genuinely connect with the family beyond the superficial duties of the role.
