Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking an
Overnight Front Office Manager to join the team of our brand-new upscale hotel. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU provides Tempe with 330 guest rooms, 36,000 square feet of event space, and four new food and beverage outlets. Featuring a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we expect to provide tremendous options for our guests for dining and entertainment.
So where does the Overnight Front Office Manager fit in? This role will work as an integral part of the rooms division to create a 4-diamond guest experience from guest arrival through departure. Our ideal candidate possesses a passion for leading a dynamic team of associates and providing exemplary moments of service to each and every guest.
- Supervises and manages the night audit of the Front Office operations while supporting the overnight departments.
- Understands associates positions well enough to perform duties in associates’ absence.
- Responds to all guest requests appropriately and remains alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and fellow associates always.
- Attend and prepare for daily stand-ups with departments to obtain information from the previous shift and communicate with the incoming associates.
- Process daily audit of financial data.
- Communicates any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments.
- Responsible for leading and assisting with the successful completion of daily shift requirements.
- Supports training of staff on adherence to all credit policies and procedures to reduce bad debts and rebates.
- Responsible as the Manager on Duty to handle complaints and resolve opportunities within the hotel.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and be self-sufficient in periods of reduced occupancy.
- Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security. Reporting any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Prior Rooms Supervisory/Management experience required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.Previous hotel night audit experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication skills and able to exercise good judgement.
- General computer proficiency and the ability to learn hotel computer programs, Microsoft Word & Excel. Knowledge of Opera Property Management Systems preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must have a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
