Piper Shores is Maine’s premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Care for our residents with a person-centered approach to care. This newly recreated position serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors and vendors at the Piper Shores Meadows campus. This position provides general administrative support, and also provides support to functional services with Life Enrichment, Marketing, and the Wellness departments.
Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that individuals are welcomed and that their needs are met.
- Responds to incoming phone or email communication and provides timely responses.
- Delivers packages (up to 50 pounds) to residents at the Meadows, including apartments, cottages and neighborhood homes[AK1].
- Works with LE team to assist with [AK2]audio visual set up in conference rooms or the movie theatre
- Works with LE team to assist with setup and breakdown of function rooms for events
- Provides tours to prospective residents, including walk-ins as requested.
- Is prepared to answer questions about the Meadows campus as well as Oceanside campus to prospective residents via phone or in-person.
- Communicates with residents who have not conducted daily check-ins
- Assists residents with scheduling wellness appointments as requested
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associates degree or college-level coursework preferred.
- 1-2 years of prior service experience in a professional setting.
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate and present in person, in writing, and on the telephone effectively in English.
- Intermediate understanding of technology systems including Microsoft Office Suite. Comfort/proficiency with general technology.
- Strong desire to help and serve residents in the Piper Shores community.
- Prior experience working with a senior population preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
