Position: Forklift Warehouse Associate

Shift: 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday (OT available)

Temp to Hire

*Breaks 2x 10 min breaks and 30 min lunch

*Client provides PPE, tools and equipment

*TSA form will be completed by client after 2 weeks

*Steel toe boots required

Job description notes:

- Must Have import/export experience with domestic and international shipments

- Forklift sit down driver (40%)

- Must do manual warehouse labor (60%)

- Loading and unloading container

- Breaking pallets, lift and store boxes and shrink wrap using machine

- Material Handling lifting up to 40lbs

- Maintain warehouse and work area organized, cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors.

- Spanish speaking is okay, needs to understand and follow instructions.

**Temp to hire**

After 90 days will get hired by ITS and will be eligible for benefits and pay increase from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks, order picking, wrapping products, packing, labeling, shipping and receiving.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on forklift, truck, and/or railcar.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Clean and maintain the work area. (sweep and mop floors, etc.)
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Move waste from assembly line to dumpsters.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
• Operate forklift
• Complete daily logs.
• Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out. No damaged raw material is accepted in.
• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stage finished product for loading.
• Load finished product onto truck, aircraft, and/or railcar.
• Unload raw materials from truck, aircraft, and/or railcar.
• Move raw materials to warehouse storage.
• Perform other duties, as needed.
• Must have excellent communication skills (Spanish is okay, must be able to follow instructions)
• Must be an organized and self motivated individual with the ability to interface and function effectively in a high pressure multitasking environment while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and team members.
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Predictable and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent acceptable. (Desirable)
• Forklift experience required. (Sit Down 40%)
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without additional assistance.
• Familiarity with truck manifest, loading and unloading procedures, and reporting exceptions.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends, when required. (OT Available)
• Self-starter, high energy, and upwardly motivated are preferred attributes.
• Ability to communicate well within all levels of the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

• Wood Dale, IL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
