Shift:

Part Time (30 hours)

Shift Start; 5:30am - 6:30am

Weekend Work Required

Non-Exempt; Pay Grade: 63

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under minimum supervision, performs a wide range of food service duties. Directs and provides direction for Food Service Workers 1 & 2. Is expected to solve problems without need for direct supervision to assure quality service standards. Works with minimal or no supervision.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma/Certificate/GED required
  • 2 years of related experience required
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Work requires the ability to understand simple verbal instructions and to read and understand written instructions and two years of previous experience.
  • No certification, registration, or licensure required.
  • Work requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
  • Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain Medical Center policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors, and/or Medical Center employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.

Required Physical, Mental, and Visual Abilities:

  • Lifting and/or carrying objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Pushing and/or pulling non-motorized equipment (e.g., stretchers, supply carts, mops) weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Stooping and bending.
  • Reaching and grasping objects.
  • Walking and/or standing for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions:

Work requires working in an area that is somewhat uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation or the like.
