JOB OPPORTUNITY FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR

POSITION:SSD Food Service Supervisor CLASSIFICATION:FULL TIME SALARIED - Exempt

LOCATION:WILL WORK AT ALL STORESDEPARTMENT:Store Strategy Division

Section Supervisor is responsible to provide expertise and resource to the store to improve the operations of the Food Service department. Also serve as a liaison between the Product Strategy Division and Store Food Service department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Has functional authority over the Food Service Department Managers.
• Responsible to ensure that the Food Service Division policies, standards, procedures, and directives are being carried out to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Assist Food Service department managers in understanding their assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Identifies and analyzes department related problems which may be arising from a variety of sources outside the control of the Store Director and Department Manager.
• Responsible for the general appearance and overall merchandising techniques.
• Periodically monitors cases, signage, displays and shelf condition, ensuring that prices are correct
• Makes recommendation on staff or managers promotions or transfers.
• Ensures that the Food Service departments are complying with required government regulatory agencies rules and regulations and all safety guidelines.
• Oversees the Food Service Managers in their work processes (steps, tools/equipment, resources, and systems), scheduling, and determines the stores need for relief work in the Food Service staff.

SKILLS:

• Held a responsible position of Manager or Higher in the Food Service department.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of the operations of the Food Service Department.
• Working knowledge of the equipment operated in respective sections.
• Good leadership abilities, maintaining good rapport and working relations.
• Working understanding in costing, margin, shrink, inventory controls and how it relates to profitability of the Food Service department.
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and remain organized.

Good interpersonal skill: able to listen to others w/out interrupting and maintain strict confidentiality.

Able to work under direction but with the initiative to do so independently and with the ability to adapt as needed to a variety of situations.

EXPERIENCE/ Possess High School education or higher.

EDUCATION:Average to above average in using Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel).

PHYSICAL Regularly required to sit and talk or hear.

DEMANDS:Lift a 10-40lbs. with medium effort.

Occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch

Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.

SCHEDULE:Usually Monday through Friday, 8 hour work days, but may require longer hours, on different days, depending on business needs.

SALARY:Open - negotiable depending upon experience / skill.
