We are looking for motivated individuals that are creative and have the ability to work in a fast paced floral design environment.

At Monica's Brides and Touch of Glitz Flowers 90% of our business comes from weddings and quinceañeras. We are looking to add 2 Floral Designers to our team as we approach the busy wedding season.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating floral arrangements including wedding centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, funeral sprays, funeral plant/floral baskets, and everyday floral orders.
• Receiving, processing and storing flowers upon delivery.
• Cleaning and washing buckets.
• Assisting walk-in floral shop customers.
• Occasionally answering shop phone line to assist customers.
• Cleaning up shop to ensure it is presentable at all times.
• Conduct classes or demonstrations to train new staff on processes.
• Assist with delivery and setup of events.
• Any other tasks assigned.

Floral Designer Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven floral design experience.

• Sound knowledge of different flower types, arrangement styles, and flower conditioning.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Artistic and creative.
• Detail-oriented.
• Bilingual is a Plus.

Good attitudes and reliable transportation are a must.

****Taking Floral design in High School DOES NOT count as experience.***

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Channelview, TX 77530: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred)
• Floral Design: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
