Position Summary

Under moderate supervision, supports assigned finance area with various operational and administrative tasks. Responds to inquiries from Employees, general management, outside vendors, policyholders and agents.

  • The successful candidate will work from the Home Office with an option of a hybrid schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handles various inquiries of moderate complexity related to finance, including acting as a liaison between Employees, Agents, vendors or outside companies to resolve problems
  • Performs various administrative and clerical duties, including opening, sorting and distributing mail, and filing and assisting with the implementation of new or revised programs or procedures.
  • Performs basic policy accounting functions and corrects errors.
  • Assists in screening paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Enters and maintains data in finance and vendor systems. Prepares and maintains corresponding files. Assists with running, modifying and or distributing corresponding reports.
  • Continues developing a working knowledge of ERIE’s finance function related guidelines and programs, including systems.
  • Tracks and follows regulatory compliance and requirements for SOX, taxes, privacy, and other applicable laws.
  • Completes special projects as required. Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Required Education Equivalents

  • Bachelors degree or Associates degree in accounting, finance or related field required; or
  • High school diploma, or GED and two years' experience a finance environment, required.

Working knowledge of processing and spreadsheet software required. Experience with ERIE’s management software preferred.
