All About You

Responsibilities

A Final Inspector will work as member of the autonomous team to assemble, test, inspect cells and batteries in accordance with work instructions, quality procedures and other documentation to ensure that customer orders are completed on time and meeting the highest standard of quality per Saft’s ISO 9001 goals and objectives.

  • Receive & control materials, assemble cells/batteries, clean and label product and fabricate assemblies while participating as part of an efficient quality oriented work team.
  • Proficiency of basic measuring tools/equipment include, but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gauges, surface plates, weight scale, steel measuring scale, manometer, megometer, volt, and OHM meter.
  • Read, understand, and interpret drawings, including knowledge of English and metric measure.
  • Perform required tests, final inspection and identify product out of specification.
  • Identify plant, process, or product safety/environmental problems and report them to management.
  • Inspect quality of final product and complete QIS and MFG-PRO entries and documentation before customer shipment.
  • Heavy lifting up to 45 pounds is required.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED required.
  • Two years increasing responsible experience in Aviation battery/cell manufacturing.
  • Able to obtain FAA certification after 1-year of inspection experience.
  • Certified Manufacturing Specialist preferred.
