Description:This position is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment supporting an established Radar Field Engineering Team. In the role the candidate will be providing technical support for our Ground-Based Air Surveillance Line-of-Business. Products that our team supports includes the TPS-77, FPS-117, TPY-4, 3DELRR, and TPQ-53 radars. Primary duties include:
1. Troubleshoot radar and associated assemblies, subassemblies, mechanical and electrical system components for deficiencies and malfunctions.
2. Repair, remove, and replace defective components and parts.
3. Perform as a team member on radar installations and checkouts, on both domestic and international assignments. Domestic travel and or international travel to low, medium, and high-risk security level countries is required. Open to business travel of approximately 50%.
Basic Qualifications:
1) Working knowledge of the Unix/Linux Operating System in areas of file system navigation, running executable scripts, etc.
2) Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work requiring general direction and guidance.
3) Electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
4) Team Building Skills
5) Good skills interpreting and following schematics.
6) Candidate must be able to demonstrate skills utilizing different pieces of test equipment. Examples like Fiber Optic Test Tools (i.e. interferometer, meters, etc.), Digital Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.
7) Must have an interim secret clearance to start.
8) Strong written and verbal communications skills required.
9) Experience in following established test procedures.
10) Must be a US Citizen and possess a valid US Driver's License
11) Proficient using MS Office Software including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Desired Skills:
1. Certified Rigger
2. Experience working with Military Customers and a good understanding of military Chain of Command structure.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
