- Determines from clinical assessment a diagnosis and coordinates care with physician specialists when needed.
- Performs history and physicals
- Assesses patients
- Provides direct patient care within their scope of practice
- Provides pre-employment evaluation and orders necessary titers and vaccines
- Collaborates with the Administrator / Physician in developing and revising patient care standards, protocols, policies, and procedures
- Ensures that documentation is concise, legible, and appropriate
- Adheres to policies and procedures for documenting care provided in the setting
- Initiates immediate patient intervention when an emergency medical condition is determined
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner school
- Graduate of an accredited AMA/AACOM approved medical school.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in a Medical Specialty and/or verified designated training in Emergency Medicine.
- Current New York State License/Registration
- Current BLS
- Completion of all credentialing procedures and requirements.
