Position: Safety and Facilities Supervisor
Reports to: Donation Center Director
Reporting to our Donation Center Director, the Safety and Facilities Supervisor is an important part of our organization as he or she assists the Donation Center Director in monitoring workplace safety. The Facilities Supervisor may also be asked to help oversee donation center associates when the DC (Donation Center) Floor Supervisor is not available.
JOB DUTIES:
Assists the Donation Center Director in the following duties:
- Conducts regular maintenance and safety audits to proactively safeguard our team, our work environment, and our assets.
- Performs regular maintenance to proactively manage our facilities.
- Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Oversee all required facility maintenance activities to ensure assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner and maintain high-quality standards for the appearance and upkeep of both internal and external areas for all locations.
- Initiate and evaluate proposals and bids for any outside vendors that install, inspect, repair our facilities including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.
- Safeguards SVDP equipment from unnecessary damage.
- Helps maintain a clean and safe work environment for co-workers and our customers.
- Helps to evaluate, create, maintain, and train policies and procedures on facilities and safety.
- Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations
- Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong interpersonal skills - Able to work with other teams and adapt to changing needs.
- Able to understand company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Able to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Able to work on your feet for most of the working day.
- Able to understand and fully comply with all company safety directives.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act)
- Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
- Excellent organizational skills
- Valid Kentucky driver’s license.
- Able to work evenings and weekends and on call as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
