Non-Profit Executive Director – FT (Stanwood, WA)

Local non-profit, Lincoln Hill Retirement Community is looking for a full-time Executive Director. The ideal candidate has experience in the non-profit sector as an Executive Director or CEO, has experience in the geriatric/retirement/or healthcare industry, and can promote our mission to provide affordable 55+ housing and vital community services to promote health and independence.

The Executive Director (ED) is accountable for planning, execution, management, and the outcomes of all the programs and services LHRC provides. The ED oversees a multi-million-dollar budget, and 10 department leads, approximately 20 employees, and volunteers. In collaboration with the team, more specific areas of accountability include budgeting and fiscal management, strategic planning, organizational structure and development, human resources, board relations and governance, partner cultivation, donor stewardship, community engagement and relations, quality operation of multiple programs, fund development, and policy recommendations and implementation. The ED will be accountable to the Board of Directors for performance and provide a collaborative environment to enable the next level of growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fiscal responsibility to include development and oversight of the budget
  • Program oversight including apartments, transportation, wellness, nutrition, maintenance, activities, volunteers and more
  • Collaboration with community and development of a PR program
  • Development of grant requests
  • Fleet budgeting and management
  • Hiring, Supervision and leading of personnel
  • Management of Board relations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated successful leadership experience in a non-profit or other development organization.
  • Experience in and strong understanding of the geriatric, medical, or healthcare industries
  • 2+ years of experience in Independent Living community management
  • Demonstrated experience creating Donor Development and engagement programs
  • Experience with transportation and fleet management programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively both as an individual contributor and also as part of a team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, including strong public speaking ability.
  • Ability to organize, plan, delegate, and prioritize tasks in an effective and professional manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface and engage with a diverse population.
  • Strong budget management skills including preparing, analyzing, reporting, and executing the budget.
  • Prior management and strategic planning experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and administering non-profit programs.
  • Excellent personnel management skills, ability to lead in a transparent manner with a high level of integrity. Transformational/servant leadership preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and possess polished presentation and persuasive interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work and attend various events, including some evenings and weekends, for and on behalf of the organization.
  • Valid Washington state driver’s license with satisfactory driving record

Pay: $75,000 - $90,000.00 Annually, DOE
