We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofing Estimator to join our team. As a Roofing Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing and estimating the costs of roofing projects for our clients. Your expertise will ensure accurate and competitive pricing while maintaining profitability for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough on-site inspections to evaluate roofing projects and gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Review architectural plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to identify project goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Utilize industry-standard software and tools to prepare detailed estimates, including material costs, labor expenses, equipment requirements, and subcontractor fees.
• Analyze and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other project documents to determine project scope and provide recommendations on best practices.
• Keep updated on current industry trends, materials, and techniques to ensure accurate estimation and cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals, including clear breakdowns of costs, timelines, and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
• Track and monitor project costs throughout the bidding and estimation process, making adjustments as necessary.
• Provide clear and detailed explanations of estimates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Collaborate with the sales team to support business development efforts, including attending client meetings and providing technical expertise.
• Maintain accurate records of estimation activities, project details, and customer interactions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and building codes.
• Familiarity with estimation software and tools, such as RoofSnap, Xactimate, or similar platforms.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, architectural plans, and specifications.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to accurately calculate costs and quantities.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy in estimating.
• Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in using computers and related software, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in roofing estimation, preferably in a commercial or residential roofing company - 3 years+.
• Relevant certifications or training in roofing estimating or construction cost estimating is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• On call
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:
