ADULT ESL SCHOOL in ALLSTON is looking for ***IN-PERSON*** INSTRUCTORS for EVENING classes.

Evening Schedule:

5:00 - 9:30, Monday through Thursday (18 hours + prep time)

About You:

Friendly and outgoing, you love a challenge. You are creative and enthusiastic about seeing Boston and the English language through brand new eyes. Responsibility comes naturally to you and you are always willing to work as part of a team. Ideally, you have a certification in English language teaching (TEFL, CELTA, etc) or would be willing to get one within 3 months of being hired.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution
-TESOL/CELTA/TEFL Certificate with a teaching practicum OR three months full time teaching adult learners

Responsibilities:

-Plan and deliver interesting ESL lessons incorporating your own ideas as well as teaching a set curriculum from a book.
-Engage with adult learners on their level.
-Take daily attendance.
-Assign and check homework.
-Proctor and grade weekly exams.
-Attend monthly paid professional development meetings.
-Work in tandem with the Academic Director and Academic Coordinator to create a safe and structured environment conducive to student learning.
