Job Title: Community Engagement Coordinator

Development & Fundraising

The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for engaging the community for the purpose of growth and/or advancement of the Second Shift mission.

Part-Time - 15-20 hours a week

Reports to: Executive Director

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the executive director to design and plan and create a comprehensive fundraising and outreach plan for the coming year.
• Manage project workflow and oversee day to day milestones for projects.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers
• Secure new sponsors and donors
• Assist with events, planning, coordination organizing and execution.
• Assist with planning and promoting educational and awareness campaigns.
• Ensure that donations and gifts are properly processed and recorded.
• Meet with executive direct weekly.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• · 2-5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in nonprofits.
• · Punctual, efficient, organized, effective, and professional under pressure.
• · An understanding and respect for working with homeless and margenalized youth and families.
• · Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills - must be personable and informative when presenting Second Shift mission, programs, and services.
• · Computer knowledge and competency in Microsoft Office Suite, nonprofit CRM software and Canva
• · Valid Alabama driver's license with access to a personal vehicle,
