With knowledge of event planning and in alignment with our core values, this individual will partner and collaborate with team leaders, people and culture, and events to create both in person and virtual events and experiences for our people. These events can range in theme from companywide initiatives, team connection events, recognition of our people, holidays and making an impact in our community. Responsibilities:

Bring creative ideas and approaches to events based on collaborative feedback of stakeholders.

Assist with research, analysis and recommend venues for various events and meetings based on the details of the program, number of attendees, type of event and desired outcome

Prepare and arrange (on-site and off-site) to support events and meetings
-
Assist with set-up and breakdown of events/meetings
-
Assist with events and projects associated with our cultural development that promote our business and provide employee recognition

Be a point of contact with Caterers/Food Vendors as needed for Luncheons/Meetings/Trainings/Events

Provides exceptional customer service, i.e., answers to basic events related questions, directs employees to appropriate team member for best service with all internal and external customers

Help with organizing and sending out event invites/coordinate schedules

Purchasing of event supplies

Negotiates & sign vendor contracts and maintains activities within assigned budgets

Complete/enter expense reports for events into Work Day system, along with submitting check requests
-
Assist with organizing and keeping storage closet clean
-
Work well with coworkers, vendors and clients
-
Ensure that audio/visual equipment is available when required for meetings and events. Work with CHG facilities and IT teams

Learn the organization chart and key players on teams and divisions
-
Assist with marketing incentives in support of business needs
-
Provide Red Ribbon Service with every interaction – internally and externally

Ability to create a fun work environment and positive culture to ensure high-level employee engagement

Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed

Other job-related duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:

Ability to handle multiple tasks at a single time while remaining detail oriented and focused on deadlines

Desire and ability to accept change drive change, and contribute ideas to improve processes

Proficient in negotiation and customer service

Understanding of company business and industry

Ability to develop and monitor project budgets

Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills

Clear understanding of company branding for all events

Ability to work autonomously in a responsible and professional manner
Education & Years of experience:
-
High School diploma or equivalent experience
-
2-3 years of event planning and customer service experience
-
Certified Meeting Professional, hospitality management education, or equivalent experience
Preferred skills:

Certified Event Planner
-
College degree
