We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with expertise in Human Machine Interface (HMI) development. The successful candidate will provide leadership and technical direction in the creation of user-friendly interfaces for robotic applications. This role involves taking accountability for design, implementation, and testing of product features, from prioritization to design to production release. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with development and have a passion for mentoring and coaching others on the team.

Role/Responsibilities:

• 
  Design and develop user interfaces for embedded systems using React used by robot operators, service technicians, and engineers
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
• Mentor and coach other members of the team on HMI development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure product quality.
• reparation of technical documentation, design reviews and risk assessments.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the field

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree. Masters preferred.
• 7+ years of experience working on embedded real-time software development with emphasis on human machine interfaces.
• Fluent in several programming languages such as C++, Python and Javascript
• Experience with development of HMIs in Qt and web based HMIs using React (preferred) or Angular
• Knowledge of embedded systems and their architectures
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, Jira and Gitlab
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirables:

• Experience with UX design techniques to create compelling HMIs that provide an exceptional user experience
• Experience developing mobile apps for iOS and Android
