SALARY
Salary will be commensurate with the level of education and experience of the recommended candidate.

Range:
Career Path I: $41,500 - $61,000
Career Path II: $43,000 - $80,500

Insurance:
This position is eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance coverage on the employee, spouse, and eligible dependents. The employee's insurance will be effective on the first of month following the hire date. The EVSC also offers employees an opportunity for life insurance and long term disability coverage.

Retirement:
As a contract teacher, this position will automatically be enrolled in the Teacher Retirement Fund (TRF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). In addition, this position is eligible to enroll in a 401(a) retirement investment plan, a 403(b) Match Program, and a tax-free post-retirement medical expense account (VEBA).

Additional Benefits:

SUMMARY:

As a member of the Comprehensive Counseling Team (CCT), members will identify the needs of students within the domains of academic development, college/career development, and social emotional learning utilizing a multi-tiered, multi-domain systems of support (MTMDSS). The School Counselor will implement a data-driven counseling program that aligns with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) national model.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

• Consult and collaborate with the CCT, school staff, administrators, parents, and community partners to understand and meet the individual needs of all students.
• Establish and share the comprehensive school counselor program calendar with administration.
• Use data-driven decisions for planning, delivering, and evaluating programs and services.
• Demonstrate cultural competence in, understanding of, and responsiveness to diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Advocate for and collaborate with students and families to promote student achievement and ensure equity and access to rigorous opportunities that maximize success.
• Collaborate with other members of the CCT to provide direct individual/small group counseling with evidence-based interventions, and provide referrals to school and community resources.
• Provide individual/small group counseling to students in the domains of academic development, college/career development, and social emotional learning.
• Deliver services and activities in all tiers of a MTMDSS that includes core curriculum, individual student planning, school-wide activities, and small group counseling.
• Provide crisis prevention and intervention services.
• Pursue professional growth and participate in local, state, and national school counselor related conferences and workshops.
• Abide by the ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counseling.
• Maintains a strong, regular personal attendance record.

• Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program.
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on DIVISION and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skill in oral and written communication.
