NDSL, makers of Cellwatch Battery Monitoring equipment (www.cellwatch.com) is looking for a skilled and motivated person to join our cutting-edge engineering team in the position of Electronics Engineering Technician based in their Research Triangle Park, NC office.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Building and testing prototypes
• Fault analysis on new and old products
• Finding and testing replacements for obsolete parts
• Maintaining, calibrating and updating test fixtures and equipment
• Assist with the development and testing of new products
• Travel off site to work in other facilities to test products
• Organize data and notebooks and keep careful records of tests, parts, limits etc.
• Use Excel and Word to keep records
• Create and check Bills of material
• Updating schematic diagrams and other details of product design Reporting This position works in our Engineering department and reports our CTO

Qualifications, Education and Experience

• An associate (two-year technical) degree preferred but priority given to experience
• 2-5 years troubleshooting analog, digital, & microprocessor electronic hardware circuit boards, preferably in an engineering lab environment
• Good eyesight and thru hole and surface mount soldering skills a must Familiarity with using modern bench test equipment including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and signal generators
• The ability to create solutions and solve problems from scratch is greatly valued
• Good oral and written communication, organizational and PC (MS Office) skills
• Motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in group settings, and a fast-learner
• Be able to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and work instructions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
