Job Description
  • Maintenance Electrical position to support daily production needs as required and occasional capital project activities at the Omaha Site.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Maintains function and reliability of production and facility systems and associated equipment by executing a preventive maintenance program; Inspects electrical and automation systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Demonstrates leadership traits that promote a healthy work environment.
  • Contributes to development of maintenance standards by providing input to strategic plans and reviews; developing and implementing procedures, developing productivity, ensuring quality and customer-service standards are met while resolving problems.
  • Assists in identifying training requirements for electricians, develops annual training plans and programs and oversees training of new electricians.
  • Assists Maintenance Supervisor in developing, assigning, and prioritizing daily tasks and responsibilities for the team.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by utilizing planning and scheduling maintenance model, equipment, and supplies as needed to accomplish job results in demanding team-oriented environment.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and identifying proactive needs.
  • Provides feedback on equipment condition while performing preventive maintenance activities.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Generates and maintains accurate records.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards; works within site policies & procedures.
  • Effectively use safety equipment, such as respirators, protective clothing, monitoring equipment, etc.

Qualifications


High School diploma, or equivalent.

Critical experience: Minimum 3 years maintenance experience in an industrial setting or in the military required, 10 years preferred.

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities: Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, capable of operating a forklift, continuous learning, applied learning, teamwork, managing work & time, safety awareness.

Additional information

  • Travel Requirements – minimal.
  • Two years current position preferred, candidates who have been in their current position a minimum of one year will be considered if they have the approval of their current business unit leader and hiring business unit leader (requirement for internal applicants only).

  • Physical requirements: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to climb unusual heights on ladders; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
