Electrician

Northwestern Emergency Vehicles (NWEV) is a privately held company and an exclusive American Emergency Vehicles (AEV) dealer. We take immense pride in providing first responders with custom ambulances that help save lives in their local communities. Our operations cover North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, and Washington, DC. In addition to selling new and used ambulances, our remount division produces the highest quality remount ambulances in the industry.
The Position:
Electrician in our West Jefferson, NC location, with the following requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Read and understand English
- Read a tape measure
- Must be able to climb, twist, bend, stoop, work overhead, and lift 40 pounds
Electricians are responsible for:
- Perform various duties required to fabricate wiring harnesses and install components, circuit modules, relays, diodes and harnesses in a variety of assemblies and chassis/ambulance units
- Drill and/or assemble a variety of parts and assemblies, including cutting openings in bodies to accommodate wire and components while using hand and power tools
- Inspect for proper installations and integrity
- Perform other work as assigned

Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am - 6 pm
