The salary range estimated for this position is $106,420 - $149,556. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.

Discover Impactful Work:
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Lead is responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining the Environmental Health and Safety and Quality Management Program across all functions within service portfolio. Work in concert with customer management to ensure that all requirements and service metrics, as outlined in the current contract/agreement are met on a consistent basis.
A day in the Life:
Drive excellence through clear communication, client teamwork, compliance adherence, service scope expansion, SLA adherence, development of business metrics, and team management.
Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific in audit and quality reviews. Ensure action items, revisions, and deviations are managed in appropriate systems.
Partner with functional area partners to supervise performance, efficiency, and report performance metrics. Evaluate trending of metric data; perform root cause analysis and develop CAPAs.
Became trusted advisor for customer. Champion innovation and practical process improvement in the program. Address key initiatives and ensure consistency in application where it makes sense. Assists in determining the resolution of all customer situations in a timely manner.
Drive client and Thermo Fisher Scientific Quality Program requirements. Establish and maintain policies, practices, and procedures that ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
Conduct process audit and product audit to identify improvement opportunity; analyze root cause for quality problem and work through corrective and preventive action.
Facilitates and performs routine site inspections of ULS occupied areas and conducts environmental, health and safety employee training. Participates in sustainability efforts.
Responds to incidents and manages the incident investigation; tracks and assists with applicable corrective actions to closure. Conducts Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and enforces EHS requirements; recommends changes to current EHS programs.
Support business continuity efforts by participating in emergency response drills and training. Partner with client EHSS and the ULS EHS Manager to address needs outstanding to ULS. Supports management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.
Responsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics. Conduct risk assessments for current job tasks and new processes (CCR).
Owns audit process; collaborates with Amgen on quality events. Must be present on the floor as subject matter expert in real time to support staff (80/20).

Keys to Success:
Education
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Experience:
Environmental, Health, and Safety background.
Good understanding of various quality improvement tools & Lean techniques: 5S, VSM, Waste reduction, Process mapping, Control Charts, etc.
Knowledge/ exposure to ISO Standards.
Experience in a matrixed environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to make timely decisions while functioning in a fast-paced changing work environment.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills; including experience in writing Standard Operating procedures (SOP) and presentation skills.
Tried excellence in customer service skills.
Meticulous, problem solver, promotes team environment.
Excellent computer/software skills. (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Must be flexible with hours.
