Position Summary

The E-Commerce Lister is to accurately enter descriptors for items listed on the shopgoodwill.com website. The listings include; high end items, unique products, antiques, collectables, clothing, etc. The Lister may need to quickly research an item for an accurate description or value. The E-Commerce Lister will work closely with the E-Commerce Lead Worker, E-Commerce Manager, and Donated Goodwill/AccuPOS Specialist to continually improve the department, increasing sales, and process improvements.

Essential Duties include the following.

• Composes accurate, well-written and well-stated descriptions of a variety of unique items being offered on Goodwill’s auction site.
• Takes clear, appropriate and well-composed picture of items being offered on auction site.
• Participates well; displays a cooperative attitude with all team members involved within ecommerce.
• Maintains excellent attendance.
• Arrives to work on time when scheduled, and remain your entire shift.
• Stops, refrains from or does not contribute to drama in the workplace.
• Provides excellent customer service to customers and co-workers
• Researches unknown items online quickly and accurately.
• Ability to reach and maintain production standards.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to utilize and develop writing and descriptive skills.
• Familiar with computers –Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Browsers, Digital Cameras, File Transfers
• Writes detailed and accurate descriptions and correspondence.
• Reads and interprets a digital scale.
• Can add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to meet quota standards set by the ecommerce team.
• When the auction is completed, must have the ability to accurately and legibly transfer data onto the auction label and shelve accurately, in the correct destination chosen.

Education and or Experience

High School Diploma or GED Preferred. Computer experience – keyboarding; typing skills. Experience with auctions sites a plus

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
