Summary

Are you someone who loves working with children? Do you have a natural tendency to lead? The Family Center of Washington County is looking for a Program Director to be responsible for the overall operation, quality, and continuity of our 5 STARs Early Childhood Program, which includes early childhood education services to children 6 weeks ? 5 years and their families.

The Family Center in Montpelier is a member of the Parent Child Network of VT whose focus is support and education to families with young children through wraparound service delivery. The goal is to help all Vermont families get off to a healthy start, promote well-being, and build on family strengths. We?re a committed team of people where collaboration and mutual support are the norm.

Duties

Responsibilities include support quality and team teach in each classroom, staff supervision and guidance each classroom; provide regular communication with parents; build partnerships and provide problem-solving with parents; produce monthly newsletters and informational fliers for families; maintain enrollment and waiting lists; follow early childhood licensing regulations, maintain annual license renewal and assure that the program is in compliance with all licensing requirements, including staff annual training requirements.

Requirements

Desired Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education, or related field; Director Credential preferred; 3 years successful experience in an inclusive program, with experience specific across birth to 5; and Proven administrative and supervisory experience.
