Growing Glastonbury, CT based home improvement company is looking for a Driver.

The driver will drive pickup trucks & trailers to various job sites, shops, transfer stations delivering materials and debris from job sites. Work is fast-paced, high-volume, customer-focused.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE MANEUVERING TRAILERS

Full-Time Monday-Friday; Starting at $16/hour (negotiable) with Company Benefits (401k, Medical/Dental Insurance, Performance Bonuses)

Responsibilities and Capabilities:

• Ability to drive in all types of weather conditions safely and responsibly
• Communicate well with supervisors and other team members
• Provide safe and accurate delivery of all materials
• Walking and standing for extended periods of time, in all weather conditions
• Moving and lifting packages that weigh 60 pounds or more with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Working up to 10 hours per day with paid over-time
• Work with minimal supervision
• Help with various day-to-day tasks

Qualifications

• Valid DMV driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years
• 2 years verifiable driving experience with no DUIs, suspensions, or accidents
• TRAILER experience - ability to tow and back-up trailers
• Pass drug and background verification screening
• Must be reliable, flexible, and exhibit a sense of urgency while on the job
• Must attain satisfactory completion of specialized training regarding the transportation of goods with special handling requirements
• Familiarity with Central Connecticut area a plus
• Basic Construction knowledge a plus
• One year of delivery experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
