The Driver, Heritage Center is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for senior adults between their residences and the Heritage Center, which is located in Overland Park, Kansas. The Driver will use a company-provided vehicle, which may be a passenger van or mini-coach.

• 7:30am-10am

Essential Duties

• Transport senior adults between their residences and the Heritage Center
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers upon pick-up and drop-off
• Maintain compliance with state regulations regarding the lawful operation of a motor vehicle
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles, inside and out
• Monitor service schedules for vehicles and inform Heritage Center director when service is needed
• Monitor fuel levels of company vehicles, purchase fuel as needed and follow all policies for using company purchase card

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Age 21 or over
• At least 3 years of experience safely operating a personal or commercial vehicle
• Valid driver license with classification appropriate to operate company vehicles and valid auto insurance
• Clean driving record with no moving violations within the past three years
• Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations for the State of Kansas
• Must be able to safely operate company vehicles in all weather conditions
• Ability to work with senior adults and provide excellent customer service with kindness, patience and concerns for safety at all times

Physical Requirements

• Position requires travel outdoors in company vehicle, therefore tolerance to extremes of heat and cold weather is necessary.
• Position requires occasional bending, squatting, sitting, standing, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving items that may weigh up to 25 lbs.
