DogSpot, a reputable, high-volume doggy daycare and boarding facility in Oceanside, CA, is seeking a hard-working and loving Overnight Boarding & Cleaning Attendant to care for our boarding dogs and to clean our facility. This position requires that you are awake and performing tasks all night during your shift, but you will also have some time to relax with the dogs when cleaning tasks are complete.

You will work with a lead attendant, and shifts have varying start and ending times depending on the night of the week you work: Mondays - Thursdays 8:45pm - 6am, Fridays 8:45pm - 8am, Saturdays 8:30pm-6:00am, Sundays 8pm - 6am. We are looking for a responsible individual that is passionate about dogs and can initially work 2-3 nights per week with the possibility of adding more nights in the future, and with the future possibility of becoming a lead overnight boarding and cleaning attendant which pays $23/hour plus bonuses.

You will responsible for the cleanliness of the indoor play yards and the safety and health of the dogs in your care. You will be responsible for cleaning our indoor facility, feeding the dogs, administering any medications, recording pertinent information about the dogs, and various cleaning tasks including cleaning the yard, the fence, our grooming room, bathroom, lobby and more. The facility is to be spotless by the time the doors open up. You will also be responsible for cleaning up any messes the dogs make during the shift, and ensure that dogs don't chew on the beds overnight.

Prior canine and cleaning experience is a plus. You will earn an additional $100 bonus on shifts when there are 45 or more dogs in attendance. There are always two attendants working the overnight shift so that there is always someone with the dogs. The ideal candidate will be truly passionate about dogs, and very confident working with many dogs simultaneously -- as we want all the dogs that are overnighting with us to feel loved and safe at all times. The individual must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and must never cut corners. Hard work is truly recognized here at DogSpot. We are hiring immediately!

* This position is paid by the shift (@$18/hour cap, with $100 nightly bonuses whenever there are 45+ dogs in attendance).

* Scheduled shifts are guaranteed regardless of the number of dogs in attendance.

* Shifts could be scheduled over consecutive nights so, for this to be a truly sustainable fit, the ideal candidate will not have competing responsibilities during the mornings/days following their shifts so they can get adequate sleep.
