Our client in Port Washington is seeking a skilled and experienced Dispatcher to join their team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for routing and scheduling the company's fleet of trucks, monitoring truck activity throughout the day, generating reports, and handling various administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Route and schedule the fleet of trucks using routing software
• Monitor truck activity throughout the day using tracking software
• Generate truck mileage reports
• Work with customer service department on customer returns, re-ships of goods, customer shortages and delivery refusals
• Generate reports to upper management and other departments within the company
• Keep track of trucks needing PMs and communicate with trucking leasing company

Responsibilities

• Routing our Fleet of trucks using a routing software
• Scheduling and dispatching drivers, trucks or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs
• Monitor our fleet of trucks throughout the day via our tracking software (VCR)
• Generate truck milage reports.
• Working with customer service department on customer returns, re-ships of good, customer shortages and delivery refusals.
• Generating reports to upper management and other departments within the company
• Keeping track of the trucks needing PMs and communicate with the trucking leasing company
• Working hand in hand with the trucking leasing company to coordinate trucks in and out of service.
• Handle driver’s paperwork
• Collect cash from drivers
• Coordinate and issue vendor pick and 3PL transfers
• Assist with coordinating common carrier deliveries / pickups and filling paperwork.
