Dispatcher

The Dispatcher will be the first line of communication customers interact with when they need help. They’ll quickly take action to communicate messages and calls to the field.

Matern Staffing is hiring a Dispatcher at a local utility company in Fredericksburg, Va. This is a contract-to-hire position.

What You’ll Do:

· Troubleshoot calls regarding electrical problems and dispatch appropriate utility personnel

· Record and enter information into the computer regarding hourly power information, locations, trouble calls and other assorted data

· Display honest, trustworthy and ethical behavior when dealing with internal and external customers

· Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work

What You’ll Need:

· High school diploma/GED required

· Flexibility to occasionally work non-traditional hours (occasional evenings, weekends and holidays)

· Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area

· Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary: $25.00/ per hour
