Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

Within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure, the Spares and Warranty team is responsible for ensuring that the right spare parts, are in the right place, at the right time in support of delivering global capacity requirements. We are looking for Director, Technical Program Management to manage the spare part aspects of our circular business model – to develop a network of repair and recertification capabilities to allow the Harvesting and ReUse of spare parts in the Cloud.


Responsibilities

  • Define and engineer repair process and tools for managing service parts business for one or more global regions, and one or more global parts providers

  • Oversee and support repair processes to ensure quality of repaired parts back into the Spare Parts Inventory

  • Work with OEM & 3rd Party repair shops to develop Recertification & repair of Harvested parts for ReUse

  • Build working relationships across multiple disciplines and teams, driving influence across the organization

  • Drive continuous improvement of deployment processes, including assessment & improvement of program delivery capabilities, analysis & insights of business performance metrics, and manage voice-of-the-customer feedback loops

  • Implement measurement frameworks to enable data-driven decision making

  • Collaborate with Sourcing, Finance, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Contracts Management & the supply base, effectively building relationships with a wide range of influencers and cultivating strategic relationships globally

Qualifications


Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 5+ years Program Management Experience
  • 10+ years Services & Supply Chain Experience
  • Experience in repairs & material re-use
  • Experience with quality management tools
  • Experience working with suppliers, both domestically and internationally
  • Process Development skills
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
