The Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE) serves as the catalyst for enhancing the quality of the undergraduate student experience while promoting on-time graduation for all undergraduate students at IUPUI. Three units report up to the Division: University College, Honors College and the Institute for Engaged Learning.
The IUPUI Testing Center offers services to current and prospective students, faculty and staff, and the entire Indianapolis community. Our staff is dedicated to timely and reliable testing.
Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Directs, supervises and coordinates all administrative and financial activities of the Testing Center including budget and account management, billing, personnel, and communication.
- Coordinates and directs activities for outreach testing programs with high schools, IU schools and departments, IU regional campuses, Ivy Tech Community College, and other community agencies.
- Manages the main assessment processes in support of test administration and scanning services at the Testing Center. Coordinates the workflow processes employed in the operational units at the center particularly, processes for the placement and national testing programs.
General Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day operational management of educational resources staff.
- Establishes short-term operational objectives.
- Identifies operational issues and/or areas of improvement and implements solutions to improve processes and/or operational efficiency.
- Analyzes, monitors, and evaluates performance of assigned staff; establishes work priorities, conducts performance reviews, and provides corrective action as needed.
- Ensures adequate staffing and effective scheduling; participates and informs employment decisions for assigned staff.
- Provides direct supervision and oversight of assigned staff and activities; impacts, and is held accountable for, the performance of team and/or assigned staff.
- Ensures and provides training to assigned staff to improve educational resources operations; researches and identifies development opportunities for assigned staff.
- Researches and stays up-to-date on new industry educational resources standards, best practices, and emerging technology; keeps next-level leader(s) informed of trends as well as significant problems.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree in related field
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Educational Testing & Evaluation, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or other appropriate field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 2 years in related field
Preferred
- 5 years of management experience including supervisory experience in a higher educational setting

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
