WHAT TO EXPECT

Located in our Customer Solution Center in Englewood (CO), the Industrial Synchronous Belt Product Line Director (GPLD) will be part of the Industrial Global Product Line Management (GPLM) team and work in partnership with our global Commercial, Marketing, and Operations teams. Reporting to the Vice President of Industrial Power Transmission Global Product Line Management, this role is accountable for the development and implementation of organic and inorganic growth for their product line strategic plan, including market and competitive analysis and identifying strategic initiatives that drive profitable growth.
  • You will create and own your product line strategy - including the supporting market data, market trends, strategic initiative development, capacity planning, and strategy execution.
  • You will be responsible for creating product roadmaps and working with engineering to fill out technology roadmaps that support the overall portfolio vision.
  • You will identify, justify, and select new product development projects using voice-of-customer and market insights to obtain desired growth in targeted market segments and achieve profitability targets. You will be responsible for the global commercialization of any New Product Introductions (NPI) for your product line.
  • You will plan, manage, and oversee the formulation of all short-term and long-term objectives and business plans for Industrial Synchronous Belts, including meeting revenue targets, market share, price realization, profitability, quality delivery and new product vitality metrics.
  • You will demonstrate expertise in the various manufacturing processes used to build synchronous belts and be responsible for capacity planning and developing business case justification for CapEx needs.
  • You will measure the overall effectiveness of your strategies and tactics via data-driven KPIs - both in terms of leading indicators and final results.
  • This position will work within a highly matrixed organization but be the owner of the Industrial Synchronous Belt product line.



ABOUT YOU
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant organizational and/or commercial experience.
  • High Level interpersonal and leadership skills; must be able to influence across multiple levels within the company and locations, including establishing global partnerships. Leads through influence, with and without authority.
  • Bachelors degree in an applicable discipline.
  • High degree of managerial, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Demonstration of a strategic mindset - including roadmap development and new product commercialization.
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge of go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience delivering both strategic and tactical presentations at executive levels.
  • Global work experience and perspective, preferred in Industrial environments.
  • Deep knowledge of and capability with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint, specifically)
  • Travels moderately (up to 20%) to Gates and customer sites, both domestic and international.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • Salary: $160,000 - $175,000
