The director will oversee and influence program training & development to support program implementation with students. Additionally, the Director will contribute to the financial health of the organization through participation on the Strategic Leadership Group, Program and Operations team meetings and other business planning groups.

OVERVIEW:
The Director of Organizational Development and Learning & Development will be responsible for overseeing and championing the growth of Think Togethers human capital. They will work with a variety of stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, performance management systems, leadership development initiatives and will have an advanced understanding of learning technologies required to support exponential growth. The Director will have advanced experience across OD competencies; and the ability to consult, facilitate, and coach to improve processes. As an effective thought leader, the Director will have the ability to pivot and shift organizational priorities understanding how to manage the impact and the messaging. The Director may be tasked with developing their own strategies for improving employee engagement, productivity, and other metrics that help promote success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures program trainings support quality of program, leadership development and compliance with California Department of Education requirements for After School Education and Safety Programs and other CDE-funded programs as required and appropriate.
- Ensure successful implementation, maintenance, and sustainability of Learning Management System.
- Innovate within existing process to incorporate improvements in professional development, communication, and documentation workflow.
- Participate in appropriate trainings to stay current with industry standards as well as lead the organization in OD innovation and sustainability.
- Develop and manage Organizational Development (OD) strategies and processes. Partner with leadership to help leaders set strategy, manage change, improve processes, clarify roles and accountability, and support realignment/shift of culture as relevant.
- Support change management efforts through impact analysis, key stakeholder identification, communications planning, coaching and thought leadership.
- Evaluate strategies and programs to measure the achievement of established goals.
- Collaborate and support hiring managers and department leads with creating, managing, and organizing of Induction Plans for Home and Regional Office positions as well as connecting induction plans to LMS Learning Pathways.
- Collaborate with Program & Operations to ensure the applicable sections of the Program Manual and Managers Toolkit are updated, as they pertain to the Organizational Development Department and systems.
- Support the Human Capital department with training creation and maintenance of onboarding and offboarding systems, tools, and content, as they pertain to employee training and development.
- Provide budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources and effectively manage spending.
- Ability to successfully assess multiple complex situations and bring clarity to ambiguity for leaders and stakeholders.
- Influences leaders and partners via compelling communication and practical recommendations for action.
- Ensure trainings support contractual obligations to school districts, partners and other funders are met, as required.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings at the home office, regional offices, and with partners.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in organizational development/organizational behavior preferred. Related experience considered in lieu of education.
- A minimum of 10+ years of leading teams to accomplish learning and organizational goals, working in a non-profit management a plus.
- Experienced and dynamic leader, strategic thinker, change agent with strong collaborative and decision-making skills.
- Strong technical skills and experience working with multiple software and internet-based resources.
- Skilled presenter providing hands-on, interactive training to engage adult learners.
- Effective coach and competent at managing challenging conversations.
- Experiences in the K-12 education sector or with organizations that deliver program services to youth.
- Proven project management experience including both planning and implementation.
- Experience working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment, comfortable as a change agent.
- Demonstrates integrity, adaptability, solution-orientation, and patience in times of conflict.
