Sterling Culinary Management is growing and we have an opening for a Dynamic Director of Human Resources with a strong background in the Food and Hospitality Industry. Description:

The Director of Human Resources primary role is to provide leadership and oversee the implementation and execution of HR strategies and policies to support business objectives for our rapidly growing Brands. Our Director will serve as a leadership to our Human Resources Department and support resource to General Managers and Food Service Team Members while balancing the needs and goals of our Client-Partners and business goals.

The Leadership role is broad, encompassing responsibility for directing and carrying out policies relating to all phases of talent management activities: talent acquisition, onboarding & engagement, development, performance management, succession planning and workforce management. Our HR Director reports to the President and CEO to understand and execute the organization's Human Resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and accession planning

Our Human Resources Director must be an expert in workforce relations programs and policies, with experience in mitigation, and assessing the company’s legal risk through proactive training and education, clear systems, and processes for managing conflicts with and between employees, handling and investigating complaints of harassment/discrimination & other unjust practice allegations.

Must maintain current knowledge and application of all relevant laws and regulations at the local, state and national level relating to employment and ensure organizational compliance. This includes educating and advising managers and senior leaders on HR-related legal and regulatory matters

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources with Master’s preferred
  • 5+ years of Human Resources Leadership experience
  • Food or Hospitality Industry experience a strong plus!
  • HRCI and/or SHRM Certification
  • Experience implementing strategies and systems for talent management, compensation and benefits, and HR technology
  • Working with senior leadership to develop, align and implement HR and organizational development strategies
  • Experience with ADP HRIS software
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills; team player who equally supports employees and company
