Job description
Hospice of Southern Maine is seeking a full time HR Director responsible to provide an effective people strategy of employee support and development fostering a culture where employees feel valued and respected. Promote relationships with department leaders and provide guidance on issues relevant to employee and company goals and objectives. Lead and support efforts to increase employee satisfaction and wellness, as well as the overall strength of the workplace, and constructively interact with employees. Provide leadership and direct the development, coordination, compliance, and administration of all human resources, infection control, employee training & development and volunteer functions.
Bachelor’s degree in health care, business, or related field required. Certification in human resources preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years of human resources related experience, including employee relations, payroll, benefits, and compensation, required. Senior level management experience required. Experience in healthcare preferred. Must possess an ability to think and make decisions strategically. Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships both internally and externally required. Must demonstrate outstanding skills in verbal and written communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Valid driver’s license required. Experience with employee infection control strongly preferred. Experience with volunteer programs strong preferred.
