Responsibilities Include:

Directs the facility recruitment and retention program to help ensure proper staffing and staff satisfaction

Oversees and works with facility resources to complete and process payroll

• Oversees employee benefits and enrollments including Insurance and 401k plans

• Serves as a resource to department managers and other employees

• Works with department heads to advise them of staffing needs, terminations, and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees.

• Participates in in-service training.

• Assists in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required.

• Maintains records on vacations, sick leave, leaves of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences, and recommends appropriate action.

• Assists in administering the facility policies related to staffing

• Works with the Nursing Leadership to schedule training classes as needed

• Oversees HR Legal areas including FMLA, Unemployment and Workers Compensation

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Familiar working with Kronos/UKG software preferred

• Good typing and mathematics skills.

• Versed in interview techniques.

• Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility.

Education and Experience:

• High school education or GED equivalent required with college-level training preferred.

• Human Resource experience in a Nursing Home setting preferred
