Job Description Summary:

Responsible for directing the operations of personnel engaged in processing financial and accounting information within the areas of general accounting, budgeting, and financial planning of the Hospitals. Responsible for developing and monitoring the Hospitals' Internal Controls. Responsible for evaluating the financial needs of Hospitals and developing systems that meet requirements of user departments, third party payers, tax reporting, regulatory agencies, and generally accepted accounting principles. The Director of Finance is responsible for planning and directing the operations of the patient accounts, revenue cycle, and cashiering functions. Responsible for developing and administering policies, procedures, and budgets, evaluating unit work methods, and initiating corrective action as necessary. The Director of Finance is responsible for coordinating services with all departments, maintaining positive working relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree (Required)CPA - Certified Public Accountant - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

Field of Study: business finance or CPA Certification is required. Five to seven years of previous Experience plus more than one year of time on the job. Work requires the analytical skills necessary to solve extremely complex problems requiring the application of technical, mathematical, clinical or managerial principles, theories, and concepts and in depth, Experienced based knowledge. Work requires the communication skills necessary to prepare and present persuasive presentations in high stakes and high stress situations, represent the organization at the highest level, or other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skills. Work requires the establishment of goals, plans and policies for assigned responsibility areas subject only to top Management review. Broad latitude for decision making. Previous Experience in a hospital setting or healthcare related field.
