EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CPA or CMA helpful, but not required.
COMPUTER SKILLS: This position requires the following computer skills: Word Processing (Microsoft Word), and Excel. MS Access knowledge is a plus. Solid overall business system knowledge and background. Ability to lead, train individuals or groups in selected programs or systems. Ability to analyze and make recommendations as related to general business systems.

The selected person will act as a business partner to the management team, driving compliance, providing financial reporting and analysis, and optimizing profitability and free cash flow. This position reports to the President of JBT-Jetway with a dotted line to the Division Chief Financial Officer. The Director of Finance will analyze and provide operational management accurate and key financial information, to ensure internal controls are in place and functioning properly.
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and complete financial results to site and division management.
- Proactively provide in-depth analysis of product cost standards and actual results discussing variances and methods to improve performance.
- Establish objectives for the organization to meet budgeted and financial targets as planned
- Work closely with Business Unit President to develop prudent budget targets and provide timely information on monthly performance results.
- Responsible for staying apprised of all Federal, State, and Local tax laws and business regulations that affect company operations
- Solve complex issues related to the interpretation and application of accounting policies and procedures, and explores alternative solutions to improve company's financial reporting
- Provide financial analysis and commentaries on monthly profit & loss, manufacturing variances, days inventory on hand, balance sheet and other relevant key performance indicators, with comparisons to forecast and budgets
- Work with the Finance team to handle accounting operations. Ensure the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and that they comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and / or international financial reporting standards.
- Coordination and preparation of the annual budget submission, periodic forecasts and outlooks with input from local management and functional business groups.
- Develop proper procedures and policies to ensure the integrity of financial data, while safeguarding all company assets
- Oversight of financial business systems.
- Cooperates with the efforts of internal and external auditors. Leads any corrective actions in response to the audits
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages subordinate staff of 3-5. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
