POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Brookline Center clinical leadership team, the Director of Clinical and Urgent Care Services will be responsible for overseeing the Center's continuum of clinical services and will carry out duties and fully supporting the mission, vision, and values of the Brookline Center on innovation and the populations we serve. The Director assures that clinical services are in full compliance with applicable regulations and payer contracts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Assumes a leadership role in a changing healthcare environment and participates in the change process at various levels in the organization including development and implementation of innovative approaches to improve client care delivery.
- Provides leadership over outpatient clinical team, including Doctoral/Master's level and independently licensed clinicians, professional level staff, and managers.
- Collaborates with department clinical and administrative leadership in the development of standards for professional practice, patient care, and innovative programs designed to facilitate high quality patient care while ensuring compliance with patient care standards, laws, regulatory agencies.
- Provides leadership for and participates in the development and execution of clinical and operational improvement initiatives to ensure patient-centered care.
- Responsible for the performance of staff in adherence to established departmental standards of care, standards of practice, policies, procedures, and protocols ensuring care delivery meets all relevant standards of care.
- Provides leadership in the selection, evaluation, promotion, resolution of employees. relations/disciplinary concerns, training and staff development, staff supervision, staff performance management and evaluation and the termination of employees.
- Gathers, interprets, and disseminates information on Center policies, new programs, and other pertinent information to managers and staff.
- Sets goals and objectives for all program services and monitors the achievement of goals.
- Facilitates training and/or makes recommendations for clinical training to assist staff in providing evidence-based care that is also recovery centered and relevant.
- Submits timely data, expense reports, annual strategic plans and quarterly strategic plan updates.
- Fosters the development of a work environment conducive to the delivery of superior clinical care and appropriate staff retention/recruitment.
- Provides direction, motivation, leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring to managers and staff.
- Collaborates with department leadership to manage department budget and allocates and monitors resources.
- Liaises with various community and state agencies.
- Supports employment practices that ensure a culturally diverse workforce.
- Maintains a small individual caseload - providing intake, diagnostic assessment and individual and/or group therapy.
- Provides Administrator On Call coverage (including after hour coverage) in rotation with Center clinicians.
- Meets/exceeds established targeted goals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master's Degree or higher in either Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Psychiatric Nurse
- Must have a LICSW, LMHC, MD, PhD, PsyD or other advanced independent licenses.
- Current license to practice in Massachusetts.
- At least five years of full-time, supervised clinical experience subsequent to obtaining a master's degree, two years of which must have been in an administrative capacity. At least 5 years in progressive leadership positions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional experience working in an environment that is inspected by the Board of Health, Department of Public Health, Department of Mental Health or The Joint Commission.
- Solid written and oral communication skills and proficiency establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with a wide variety of multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Proven knowledge of the principles and practices of management, including planning, budgeting, organizing, directing, motivating, controlling and decision making.
- Demonstrated record of leadership in the operation of innovative service delivery that promotes individual rehabilitation and recovery.
- Experience and knowledge of services for mental health, substance use care delivery, facility-based care, and treatment of individuals with mental health and substance abuse treatment needs and how to access these services.
- Ability to manage a diverse workforce; ability to embrace diversity as a strategic advantage.
- Proficient usage of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
