Job description
Provides leadership and direction for daily operations and safe provision of care for all clinical departments and Dietary. Provides shared leadership with Anderson Healthcare Departments of Pharmacy, Care Coordination, Infection Control and Prevention, and Employee Health. Ensures the implementation of the hospital's mission, vision, goals and objectives by planning, organizing, and implementing patient care activities, including nursing care, Interdepartmental relationships, and physician relations.The DON will also analyze and evaluate the processes to guide patient care in the most efficient, productive, cost effective manner possible and has the responsibility for meeting fiscal requirements for assigned departments. The DON ensures that all patient care provided meets regulatory, professional and specialty standards/requirements.
The DON is also assigned the position of Risk Management Liaison, Medical Staff Peer Review Coordinator, Patient Advocate, and Clinical Liaison for the Rural Health Clinic.
Requirements:
Education Level: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a BSN, MSN preferred
Certification/Licensure: Current active license with the State of Illinois, BLS and ACLS certification required, specialty certification preferred
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience required; management experience preferred.
