Summary of Position

Teladoc is searching for an experienced digital operations leader to join our team to design and build world-class digital experiences for our members and clients. The Director, Digital Operations will lead our newly formed digital development team, responsible for the development and management of Teladoc Health's website and consumer marketing emails.

An integral part of the Digital Marketing and Automation team, this role will provide technical strategy and leadership, and partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Brand/Creative, and IT to develop best-in-class web experiences, while maintaining high standards of quality and performance. The role will also be responsible for developing consumer marketing email assets to drive member growth and product usage. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of digital operations and program management experiences, technical expertise, and leadership ability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the digital operations vision, strategy, and roadmap for all teladochealth.com, including the main website, landing pages, web templates and features.
  • Lead the front-end development teams responsible for building all website pages and email assets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the website and associated features: communicate progress, updates, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Lead project prioritization with cross-functional teams including creative, marketing, and IT to ensure that website updates and digital campaigns are delivered on time and to the required standards.
  • Establish website governance policies for management and updates to the site to ensure brand consistency and compliance with technical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define content owners for different website sections/features and align KPIs to measure and optimize.
  • Lead the implementation and management of tags and tracking codes on the website and in email campaigns.
  • Direct the integration of third-party technical solutions into current web environment (A|B testing platforms, chat, web forms, etc.)
  • Partner with stakeholders to monitor and improve search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Work directly with IT development teams to develop new platform functionality supporting the content publishing process and capabilities.
  • Build and maintain modular email templates for scalable content personalization.
  • Lead development of content block libraries for use in both email and online.
  • Lead the QA and monitoring of new website pages and emails to ensure flawless execution, as well as meet business requirements and UX and brand guidelines.
  • Partner with UX, design, and technology to define, document, and educate stakeholders on web processes, design systems, and email templates.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on how technologies can be leveraged, reused, improved, and integrated to support current and future business needs and requirements.
  • Acts as key subject matter expert in the rapidly evolving digital technology arena including all forms of web engineering, and cloud architecture.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in web/digital development and/or website management, with at least 3-4 years of people management.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information to stakeholders.
  • Proficient in common web development languages (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Java, React/Angular, Python, PHP, etc.)
  • Experience with analytics and A/B testing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Optimizely, etc. )
  • Experience with enterprise content management systems (CMS), preferably Adobe Experience Manager
  • Experience with Marketing Automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Strong understanding of web analytics and SEO concepts.
  • Experience with website monitoring and reliability, as well as security and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of website architecture and design principles, and the ability to provide technical leadership to the team.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Git version control and deployment
  • Strong understanding of the web development process, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of website optimization strategies, including A/B testing, personalization, and user research.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills, able to lead a team to deliver projects on time and on budget.

The base salary range for this position is $151,000 - $190,000 . In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023 . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
