INDY DRS is looking for Direct Support Professional who provides direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Currently, are in need for the following shifts are locations:

1. Urgently hiring for morning shift 7am -7pm (Indianapolis)

2. 9-5pm Tues-Sat (McCordsville area)

3. PRN staff (ON CALL) for any location or time

Job Responsibilities:
1. Review clients’ Individual Service Plan (ISP), High-Risk Plan (HRP), and other care
plans prescribed to ensure clients receive appropriate care and service.
2. Administer clients’ medication as per physician's prescription and Medication
Administration Record (MAR).
3. Check and review changes in medication or prescription to ensure the client receives
accurate medicine and monitor for any adverse effect.
4. Notify Nursing Administrator, Physician, or Nurse Practitioner of any urgent concerns
related to medication effect, emergency, or other circumstances that require an
immediate response.
5. Address basic care needs of clients including but not limited to the following:
medical, nutritional, hygienic, activities of daily living (ADL’s), social, recreational,
personal management, transportation, meal preparations, etc. personal hygiene
needs may require exposure to bodily fluids (feces, urine, blood, etc.).
6. Observe and maintain cleanliness in the facility to ensure health standards and safety.
7. Accompany and provide transportation for clients on scheduled community outings
and ensure safety.
8. Assist clients to be actively involved in daily activities to achieve greater
independence using person-centered planning and self-determination.
9. Ensure that clients are free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
10. Recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities and
resolve issues if necessary.
11. Perform any other duties related to the field of service as may be assigned by the Program Director, Administrator, and/or Executive Director.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Overnight shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Indianapolis, IN: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
