Diesel Mechanic Technician - Buses
Job Description

Aries Charter Transportation is seeking full-time and part-time diesel and bus mechanics at our Chicago facility. We operate a fleet of diesel- and gas-powered motor coach buses, school buses, transit buses, trolleys and mini buses.

Mechanic must have at least 2 years’ experience or technical training working on buses and diesel-powered vehicles

2nd and 3rd Shift mechanics needed.

Up to $1,000 Signing Bonus for full-time employees. $500 available after first 90 days of employment after training. Additional $500 available after first 180 days of employment after training.

Candidates must meet USDOT physical requirements and pass a pre-employment drug screen

Mechanic / maintenance shop currently operates 2 shifts, 7 days a week
Mechanic must be able to work independently
Additional training programs are available
Position is safety sensitive
Required tasks include preventive maintenance inspections, emergency and road failure repairs, general maintenance on electrical, HVAC, brake and accessory systems.
Wheel chair lift experience helpful
Mechanics must own basic hand tools

Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement (Preferred but not required)

Salary: $23.00 to $32.00 /hour
