DIESEL TECHNICIAN - Newark, CA

$25-45 AN HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

We are hiring a DIESEL TECHNICIAN for our large transportation company!

This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining privately-owned and commercial vehicles

The job offers excellent hours (normally 7 am to 4 pm Monday – Friday), with overtime opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains both private and commercial vehicles or machines as directed.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Understands and follows all company safety policies and procedures
• Specific responsibilities will change as the company adapts to future trends in the field, but include the requirement to clearly document all repairs made on work orders using shop computers and other associated software.

Diesel Mechanics should have experience with engines (Cummins or Detroit Diesel, suspensions and transmissions (Allison), etc.
