Position: Development Director

Reports to: Executive Director

Classification: Part-time/Full-time.

Collide Theatrical Dance Company, a professional non-profit arts organization in St. Paul, is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Development Director. Possible growth into full-time position.

Founded in 2013 by Executive Director Regina Peluso, Collide is dedicated to telling narrative stories through movement and dance. Since its inception Collide has produced over 25 original dance musicals and is the Midwest’s only theatrical jazz dance company. Located in the Creative Enterprise Zone in St Paul, Collide’s rehearsal and office space is home to our seasonal performing artists. Collide performs at numerous venues throughout the Twin Cities and regional metro area during their 10-month performing season.

The Development Director will report to our Executive Director, and also work closely with interim consultants to implement and execute our 10th Anniversary Development Plan.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Serve as a cultivator of key donor relationships, and in the development of prospective donors.

· Work in collaboration to manage the grant timeline and assist as needed with applications and post-grant reporting.

· Work in collaboration to organize and execute annual fundraising event

· Maintain donor database and acknowledgments

· Grow and develop corporate sponsorships

· As needed, recruit, organize, and work with volunteers in support of priority projects.

· Furnish Progress reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

· Maintain a working knowledge of theatrical dance and the local/national performing arts communities.

· Support Collide’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications

· BA in business, non-profit management, or related field.

· Fundraising experience with demonstrated revenue and relationship success.

· Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to work independently.

· Proficiency with sponsorship and donor solicitation.

· Proficiency with the use of tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google workplace.

· Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with Collide Theatrical’s theatre season and programming.

· Familiarity with Benevon fundraising model a plus.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
